Wonder Girls To Perform At New York’s Chuseok Festival 08

After their New York trip earlier this year for MTV Wonder Girls Season 3 filming, the Wonder Girls could find themselves back there once again to perform at the New York’s Chuseok (Thanksgiving) Festival this October.

New York, We Are Coming Back!

The New York Chuseok Festival will be held from 20th – 21st October this year and organizers are in the process of getting singers from JYP Entertainment as their main performers. Right now, it’s 90% confirmed that Park Jin Young and Wonder Girls are going to be the main highlights but there’s a high chance that 2AM, 2PM, G-Soul, J Lim and Min would be thrown into the mix as well. It’s basically like JYP’s Fantastic Party Concert Tour, but with 2AM and 2PM now.

And that’s not all. JYP Entertainment also plans to hold an audition for those who wants to enter showbiz. So for those living in New York or somewhere nearby, mark the dates down if you want to catch JYP artistes in action or join the auditions. Ticketing will be made known once everything’s confirmed.

JYP ‘Wonder Girls Popularity? It has just begun!’

After a short interview on MBC Section TV shown on the 15th, Park Jin Young replied truthfully to the attention that Wonder Girls had received from “So Hot”.

He had made two songs that were close to perfect and would bring the girls the same amount of love “Tell Me” had brought but Park Jin Young was still unsure of which of the two he should do for Wonder Girls 3rd Project. Since “So Hot” was the more tricky one out of the two, he had carefully released “So Hot” as a test to see the reaction and how it was received by fans.

Park Jin Young stated, “I did not know that this song would receive this much attention and I am known to the fact that the Wonder Girls are the first girl group to receive an award on the day of their comeback.”

He had stated that the other song was a mixture of Tell Me and So Hot. So imagine the explosion it would create among the nation. Wang Bae jokingly said, “Give that song to me!”, leaving the whole studio in laughter.

Big Bang takes Hyori’s ‘U-Go-Girl’ off #1 spot.

Bang’s new album title song “Haru Haru” has taken Hyori’s “U-Go-Girl” off the reign.

The song “Haru Haru” is the collaboration between GDragon and house DJ Daishi Dance, is one of the songs included in Big Bang’s 3rd minialbum. And for the 3rd week of August, on KTF Chart, songs “Haru Haru”, “Heaven”, “Good Person” and “Lady” were all ranked #1, #3, #5 and #8 respectively.

A KTF staff said, “It was thought that Big Bang’s album will not do well since this is the time when the teens go on their school break. But Big Bang has proven to be the prominent figure for electronic dance music for the young people.

On another hand, Seo In Young is at #4 with “Cinderella”, Davichi at #6 with “Love and Warfare” and Seo Taiji at #7 with “Maoi”.

Wonder Girls and Junjin to have a special stage at Mnet 20’s Choices.

Junjin and the Wonder Girls will meet and perform together on stage at Jang-Choong Stadium in Seoul on 23 August for the 2nd Mnet 20’s Choice awards ceremony. Wonder Girls and Junjin are the best symbolic stars thus far in 2008 with “So Hot” and “Junstin Timberlake” respectively, their claim to fame.

Their special stage has become a highlight in itself regardless of the performance that they will bring to the stage. The PD for Mnet 20’s choice expressed with supreme confidence, “This will undoubtedly be the best stage in 2008 thus far, at least it will become the number one search term”.

It would be easy to think that their stage would be restricted to just performing their songs. The Mnet PD expressed, “If it’s just like that, we might as well not have this segment at all. Please don’t assume that Junjin would just perform So Hot. They will bring you a stage that would surpass your imagination”.

The 20’s Choice production stressed, “This is an awards ceremony where the performances would be far more exciting than the awards itself. It would be polite if we say that you can’t see this at any other place. We are definitely going for a out of this world 20’s Choice awards ceremony.”

Bold words from the PD to hype this up. Can they deliver on their promise?

when I saw so many of you outside the company headquarters
I felt really nervous
no matter when, you always bring me surprises *hehe*
actually, regardless of who it is, if you have a busy day, it’s like racing against time, and you feel empty inside your heart
everytime I felt this, the ones who helped me through, is you (Wonderfuls)
every word and letter with sincerity in your letters, text messages…they are all presents from the bottom of your hearts…

For all the love you have given me, I don’t really know how should I repay it back, and sometimes I feel burdened by that
When I see everyone feeling happy because of me, I feel most happy then
when that time comes, I would think to myself, “ah, I am really living on this world”, “This is what heaven has bestowed me to do”…

Sometimes, I feel confused about my relationship with fans

But I don’t really think about this often
because I am sure of one thing, everytime we go on stage to perform, we and everyone become one entity together

I couldn’t stay back for long enough with you because we had a performance, so I’m sorry for that.

Wonder Girls Second TBJ ‘Wonder S Jean’ Picture leaked.

TBJ has continued the buildup by releasing a second picture of the Wonder Girls sporting the new Wonder S Jean which was seen over the past weekend on KBS Entertainment Relay program. All of them sporting an attitude look.

Big Bang’s “STAND UP” breaks 100,000 sales.

Big Bang who has taken the Korean music scene by storm with just 3 days into the release of their 3rd minialbum “Stand Up”, has also made another breakthrough with the sales of their 2nd minialbum “Hot Issue” achieving sales record of over 100,000 copies.

YG Entertainment spoke up on this, “Big Bang released 2nd minialbum ‘Hot Issue’ last year, and it had achieved album sales of 100,000 copies. They have set the record by being the first to release minialbum and also being the first minialbum to sell 100,000 copies.”

After their success with “Lies”, Big Bang came back with their 2nd minialbum last year with “Hot Issue” bringing us another hit song “Last greeting”. The album also include songs like “Fool” and “Crazy Dog” sampling song from Seo Taiji and Boys.

Big Bang’s 3rd minialbum “Stand Up” which has already achieved album sales of 85,000 copies, is doing very well as a steady seller in music stores, selling better than the average of their previous album. It is also predicted that they will achieved 100,000 album sales for this minialbum quite easily.
